If your teenage years involved swirling your own froyo into one cup and burying the lot under toppings, good news: Sogurt is coming back. It opens a new flagship at One Holland Village in December 2026, and you can start peeling stickers off its hoarding from Thursday, 15 October!
That makes this one of the more satisfying comebacks of the year, because a homegrown brand that once shaped a generation’s after-school routine is returning with a bigger room, reworked recipes and the same make-your-own-cup freedom that hooked everyone in the first place.
A Uni Project, Then a Teen Hangout
Sogurt’s story starts with its founder, Lee Li Ping, who launched the brand in 2010 at the age of 22. She had come home from studying in Los Angeles with a soft spot for frozen yoghurt and a simple idea: let Singaporeans swirl their own froyo. What began as a university entrepreneurship project became a store in Bukit Timah, which Sogurt describes as Singapore’s first fully self-serve frozen yoghurt store.
According to the brand, that first shop broke even within six months, and Sogurt grew to 12 stores by the brand’s count, though AsiaOne and Eatbook put the peak at 15. For plenty of people now in their twenties and thirties, those shops were where after-school hangs, awkward first dates and late-night sugar runs happened, usually with a cup piled embarrassingly high.
Sogurt says its last standalone store, at The Star Vista, closed in 2018. Lee says the fans never quite let it go: “Some of our customers grew up with Sogurt, but the truth is, we grew up with them too. Even after our last store closed, people kept asking when we would come back, and that stayed with me.”
New Recipes, Greek Yoghurt Base
The brand calls this more than a reopening, and the changes back that up. Sogurt went through a full rebrand with local creative studio Parable Studio and spent months reformulating its recipes from scratch. Lee is rebuilding the business around a new operating team too, covering product, operations, brand and growth.
Per Sogurt, its tart flavours are now made with real Greek yoghurt, while the fruit flavours use real fruit purées with no artificial preservatives. The richer flavours lean on Swiss chocolate and Bronte pistachios, and the brand says select flavours, including Original Greek Tart and Black Sesame, are higher in protein. That last detail should please the gym crowd, who can now justify a post-workout cup with something other than vibes.
Ten Taps, One Cup, Your Rules
The centrepiece of the flagship is a wall of froyo and soft-serve with up to 10 flavours on rotation at any one time. Returning favourites include Peach Mango Tart, OG Green Apple Tart, Strawberry Tart and OG Chocolate, with newcomers like Matcha and Black Sesame, plus vegan picks Pink Guava Sorbet and Açaí.
The toppings “stage” in the middle of the room is where cups tend to get out of hand. Sogurt lists passionfruit and grape popping boba, Biscoff crumble, salted caramel pretzel crunch, chewy mini mochi, crunchy pistachio kunafa, fresh fruit and popping candy, finished with salted caramel or warm chocolate straight from a chocolate tap.
If you’re going in with a game plan, start with OG Green Apple Tart, since a returning flavour is the purest test of whether the reformulation kept the nostalgia intact. Then pair the higher-protein Black Sesame with pistachio kunafa, a combination that sounds built for people who think most froyo is too sweet. The chocolate tap is the wildcard, and warm chocolate on cold yoghurt is the kind of contrast that tends to win over any first-time visitor.
102 Seats and a Pet Park View
This flagship is built for hanging out. Sogurt says the space seats 102 people, with an alfresco terrace overlooking the pet park, communal seating and an interior of bold colours and curved forms. The release invites visitors to drop in with friends, family or fur-kids.
There’s takeaway froyo for anyone who’d rather eat on the sofa, plus exclusive merchandise like bag charms and tote bags. Sogurt has said it plans seasonal flavours, limited-edition toppings and collaborations with homegrown brands, chefs, bakers and creators to keep the line-up from going stale.
Sogurt’s comeback lands in a busier froyo scene than the one it left. Sogurt hasn’t released its own prices yet, and says opening details will be shared nearer the date, so that’s the number to watch before deciding whether it’s a weekly habit or a special-occasion cup.
Start Peeling on 15 October
You don’t have to wait until December to get involved. From Thursday, 15 October, Sogurt’s hoarding at One Holland Village becomes a peel-and-reveal wall, where “Sofans” (Sogurt’s name for its fans) can peel off stickers to uncover flavour and topping reveals, rewards and exclusive giveaways.
The brand’s warning is short: once the stickers are gone, they’re gone. Anyone already in Holland Village for lunch or coffee has every reason to swing by early, since the reveals are first come, first served.
