MANILA, Philippines — Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok is coming back to the Philippines, fresh off the successful run of his latest series "Perfect Crown" opposite IU.
Last June 8, Monday, Woo-seok's agency Varo Entertainment, teased on Instagram that the actor has a "new chapter" in development involving a "Secret Library."
"Therefore, the Secret Library invites you here to ensure you may take out and read again the time that has been frozen, and record new memories," the agency said.
The final image on the agency's carousel was a fan meeting lineup that includes Manila among the Asian cities that the tour will be held.
Varo Entertainment then announced that "The Secret Library" was the name of Woo-seok's next fan meeting tour in Asia, and the Philippines is indeed one of the stops.
Woo-seok is set to take over the Mall of Asia Arena on October 10 before ending the tour the following month in Indonesia and Hong Kong.
Show promoter Pulp Live World will likely oversee the production again after commenting on and reposting Varo Entertainment's announcement.
"The perfect day to write new stories filled with beautiful and unforgettable memories!" said the promoter, teasing the release of more details in the coming days.
The actor was just in the Philippines last year for his "Daydreamin'" fan meet held at the Araneta Coliseum, and the year before that in the New Frontier Theater for his "Summer Letter" Asia Fanmeeting tour.
Woo-seok started out as a model before transitioning into acting for cameos in "Dear My Friends," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," and "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo."
He gained attention for lead roles in "Record of Youth," "Strong Girl Namsoon," "Moonshine," "Soulmate," and his full film debut, "20th Century Girl."
Prior to "Perfect Crown" earlier this year, Woo-seok was best known for "Lovely Runner," which was pivotal for him getting cast in the planned live-action adaptation of "Solo Leveling."
