Perennially popular with British tourists, Spain is attracting even more tourists this year, with summer flight bookings to the country up 32 per cent for 2026. But even if you’ve left your holiday plans until the last minute, finding somewhere to stay in July and August is far from impossible.

Whether you’re after breezy northern shores, sizzling southern ones or balmy coastlines on one of its islands, there are still plenty of places you could call home for a week or more. Here, we’ve selected 15 of the best villas that have space for summer – from Basque country farmhouses to slick pads on the Ibizan coast.

Best bargains

Villa del Mar, Fuerteventura

You’ll often find better value in the Canary Islands than elsewhere during the summer holidays and, usually, the weather is more bearable than in sizzling mainland Spain. Villa del Mar, a boutique beauty in the family resort of Caleta de Fuste, is a bargain, with views straight out to sea from its location on the rocks. Inside, it’s sleek and mostly white, and there’s a sweet little pool with plenty of sun-loungers for relaxing under the sun.

Villa Plus offers Villa del Mar, which sleeps six, from £2,734.

Palms, Plants & Pools, Alicante

This laid-back villa on a complex in the popular town of Jávea has everything you need for a no-nonsense escape with the kids, including a lush garden hidden behind hedges, with plenty of shady areas to play away from the sun. As well as a private rooftop terrace, there are lovely shared pools (both indoor and outdoor), while sandy beaches are a 10-minute stroll away.

Plum Guide offers Palms, Plants & Pools, which sleeps four, from £1,811 for six nights.

Luna Calm, Andalusia

Far from the busy Spanish coastline, the Sierra de Hornachuelos Natural Park is a place of shady forest, twisting rivers and vast skies populated by eagles and vultures. Lost among its trees, Luna Calm is the place for those who really need to get away from it all. Spend days in the pool and under the vine-twisted pergola.

Plum Guide offers Luna Calm, which sleeps six, from £1,594 for six nights.

C’an Bennassar, Mallorca

No kids? This blissful hideaway, in the mountains near chic Pollensa, is an appealing prospect. Sequestered among citrus and olive groves, it’s remarkably spacious for a one-bed. Pleasingly patina-ed floors and old beams add plenty of character to its interior, while a palm-fringed pool and ivy-draped terrace complete the pretty picture outside.

Even outings – to the nearby fairytale castle of Butrón and sandy beach at Plentzia – are kid-approved.
