According to information from several sales consultants, the Subaru Forester hybrid is expected to be introduced in Vietnam in October 2026. The estimated price is around 1.5 billion VND, however, Subaru Vietnam has not yet confirmed this information.
Some dealerships also stated that customers who place early deposits may be prioritized to receive their vehicles by the end of 2026 if supply is allocated as planned. However, the actual delivery date still depends on the import schedule and the number of vehicles distributed to each dealership.
If launched this year, the Forester hybrid would be Subaru's first hybrid SUV in Vietnam, expanding the brand's electrified vehicle lineup amidst the growing number of hybrid powertrain options in the C-segment SUV market.
In some international markets, the Subaru Forester hybrid is equipped with a 2.5L 4-cylinder boxer engine combined with an electric motor and a 1.1kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

This powertrain delivers a combined output of 194 horsepower, paired with an eCVT (Lineartronic CVT) transmission and Symmetrical AWD all-wheel drive system.
According to Subaru's specifications, the Forester hybrid consumes approximately 6.7 liters/100km in city driving and 6.9 liters/100km on the highway.
Compared to the gasoline-powered version, the hybrid powertrain is expected to improve fuel efficiency while maintaining the driving characteristics that are a strength of the Forester line.
In addition to the new powertrain, the car is also equipped with an 11.6-inch central infotainment screen, a digital instrument panel, the EyeSight active safety package, and various driver assistance technologies.

Currently, the Subaru Forester in Vietnam is distributed with a 2.5L naturally aspirated boxer engine, paired with a CVT transmission and symmetrical all-wheel drive (S-AWD).
This C-segment SUV is imported as a complete unit from Japan and competes with rivals such as the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, and Ford Territory.
The listed price of the Forester currently ranges from approximately 1.299 to 1.399 billion VND depending on the version. Recently, many dealerships have also applied promotional programs for vehicles manufactured in 2024 to increase competitiveness.
If officially distributed, the Forester hybrid would add another option for customers interested in hybrid vehicles. However, the price, configuration, and equipment for the Vietnamese market still need to be officially announced by Subaru Vietnam.
