According to information from the Moscow City Tourism Committee (Russia): On May 30, 2026, Moscow officially launched the third season of the "Summer in Moscow" project – a city-wide program with more than 500 participating locations. This year's theme is "It's Time to Be Together," bringing together a variety of cultural, educational , sporting, and lifestyle activities throughout the summer.
The program includes outdoor concerts, stage performances, film screenings, workshops, tours, and major urban festivals such as Theatre Boulevard, Times and Epochs, and Moscow Estates. Last summer alone, the project organized over 122,000 cultural and entertainment events with a total of 64 million visitors.
One of the unique aspects of summer in Moscow is that visitors don't need to actively seek out entertainment. Simply strolling through boulevards, parks, squares, or riverside areas, they can discover outdoor stages, art exhibitions, workshops, and summer activities taking place throughout the city.
Moscow is a blend of the ancient and the modern.
Summer is also considered the ideal time to explore Moscow thanks to its warm weather, long daylight hours, and extensive green spaces. Parks, squares, and public areas become centers of cultural and social activity during the summer months.
For active travelers, Moscow boasts a well-developed outdoor sports system with skateboarding areas, basketball courts, volleyball courts, cycling routes, and paddle tennis courts. The Luzhniki Olympic complex is not only famous for its sports facilities but also attracts visitors with its zipline offering panoramic city views.
Beyond its outdoor spaces, modern Moscow also offers many new urban experiences. Visitors are increasingly drawn to Zaryadye Park with its futuristic landscape design and views of the Kremlin, as well as Red October – the legendary chocolate factory transformed into a creative riverside complex with restaurants, bars, and art studios.

Another new destination is Moskino Cinema Park, a large-scale cinematic experience complex featuring simulated film sets and interactive spaces inspired by film and television. Moscow's cuisine also reflects the blend of tradition and modernity, with traditional Russian dishes alongside many international-style restaurants.
Besides the development of tourism, cultural exchanges and professional cooperation between Moscow and Vietnam are also becoming increasingly vibrant. In recent years, Moscow has organized many promotional programs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together representatives from the tourism industries of both countries. In May 2025, many Vietnamese travel businesses participated in a famtrip to Moscow to explore new destinations and meet with more than 40 representatives from the city's tourism industry.
With its blend of green spaces, summer festivals, outdoor activities, and a modern lifestyle, Moscow is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for Vietnamese tourists this summer. The city has also developed numerous platforms to support international visitors, offering multilingual services, convenient transportation, and pre-designed itineraries through the Discover Moscow platform.
In recent years, the number of Vietnamese tourists visiting Moscow has grown steadily. By 2025, Moscow is expected to welcome approximately 42,000 Vietnamese visitors, an increase from 36,100 in 2024. Travel is also more convenient thanks to the Russian e-visa and around 25 direct flights per week between Moscow and cities in Vietnam.
