MU travels to Norway to sign 19-year-old 'prodigy'.

Manchester United are reportedly in talks to sign 19-year-old 'prodigy' Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh from Tromso (Norway).

According to Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United's CEO Omar Berrada and sporting director Jason Wilcox plan to travel to Norway in early March hoping to reach a deal.

According to sources, MU views the 19-year-old talent, who made his debut for the Gambia national team last October, as a future star, and Sedi Kinteh could move to Old Trafford for a fee of around £4.3 million.

Sedi Kinteh has made 25 appearances for Tromso's first team, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist, since signing last March.

Initially, it was just a trial, and he came from Mawade Wade's club (Senegal), but the left-footed center-back impressed so much that Tromso decided to sign him on a five-year contract immediately.

Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh possesses lightning-fast speed, reaching 37 km/h, comparable to Van de Ven – the fastest player in the Premier League, and another target for MU.

The young Gambian possesses excellent qualities, judgment, ball control, and passing ability, attracting interest from several European giants, including Manchester United and Chelsea. However, the Red Devils are reportedly leading the race for this transfer.

Big plans for the 2026 summer transfer window.

With MU's form improving under Carrick, their fans are also very excited and hopeful about the transfer news for the summer of 2026.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United “will do something big ” in the summer transfer window, especially if the team qualifies for the Champions League next season.

Last summer, INEOS spent over £200 million to strengthen their squad, and this year, United in Focus predicts that figure could be even higher.

This source points out the reasons why: besides the high probability of MU returning to the Champions League next season, they will also significantly reduce their wage bill, with Casemiro confirming his departure and ending their relationships with Rashford, Sancho, etc.

The freed-up salaries, the money earned from the Champions League, and the need to strengthen the squad could push Manchester United past the £300 million mark in this summer's transfer window. If things continue to go as smoothly as they are now, INEOS has the financial means to do so .”

Manchester United are expected to make significant changes to their midfield in the coming months. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils will have a busy transfer window, bringing in one or two new midfielders and considering strengthening other positions as well.

Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest) is reportedly Manchester United's top priority to strengthen their midfield. However, they face strong competition from Manchester City, who are willing to spend big on the 23-year-old star, who is valued at £100 million.
