From technology spaces in Dong Nai to inspiring libraries in Thai Nguyen, LG Electronics Vietnam is contributing to expanding access to knowledge and enhancing digital skills for the younger generation through initiatives stemming from local needs.
From local needs to practical community initiatives
Digital transformation is increasingly opening up opportunities to access knowledge through online educational resources. However, the gap in skills and technological infrastructure between regions remains significant. According to UNICEF Vietnam, only 36% of students aged 15-24 possess basic digital skills, while in remote areas, 67% of children lack access to online education. This situation necessitates upgrading facilities and enhancing digital experience in schools, enabling students to access more diverse and effective learning methods.
Meanwhile, community initiatives have been contributing to connecting social resources with real local needs. In the field of education, practical support helps schools improve teaching conditions and expand students' access to knowledge. This is also the goal of the LG Ambassador Challenge program, which will be implemented in Vietnam starting in 2025.
