According to a report published on October 20th by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the prices of petroleum products in September 2026 increased by 51.3% compared to the same period last year and by 8.2% compared to the previous month. Energy prices in general increased by 14.9%, with the price of distributed natural gas rising by 15% and electricity prices by 8.2%.
