Uchiha Madara has long been regarded as a symbol of power in the Naruto world . During the Warring States period, he was the leader of the Uchiha clan, possessed the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, controlled the Nine-Tails, and repeatedly clashed head-to-head with Senju Hashirama.
By the Fourth Great Ninja War, Madara single-handedly overwhelmed the Shinobi Alliance, leaving most ninjas powerless to resist. Even so, there were a few individuals capable of causing him difficulty and forcing him to reveal his full strength.
Senju Hashirama - his only true rival.
When mentioning Uchiha Madara, one cannot overlook Senju Hashirama - his childhood friend and also his greatest rival.
As the First Hokage and master of Wood Release, Hashirama clashed with Madara numerous times when they were leaders of two rival clans. Although the power difference wasn't significant, Hashirama always gained the upper hand thanks to his Wood Release combined with Sage Mode.

The final confrontation at the Valley of the End ended with Hashirama's victory, as he defeated Madara with a single fatal blow. He is also the only character to have defeated Madara multiple times during his prime.
Uzumaki Naruto changed the course of events after receiving the Six Paths power.
In his first encounter with Uchiha Madara, Uzumaki Naruto had almost no chance of winning. Even the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode wasn't enough to fight Madara after he became the Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails.

Everything changed when Naruto received the Six Paths power from Otsutsuki Hagoromo. This new power significantly increased Naruto's chakra reserves, making him immune to many of Madara's Truth-Seeking Orb attacks and capable of directly confronting Madara. Madara's Limbo clones and giant meteorites no longer offered the same advantage.
If Black Zetsu hadn't unexpectedly betrayed and resurrected Kaguya Otsutsuki, Naruto could have been the one to finish off Madara.
Might Guy made Madara admit he was the strongest taijutsu master.
One of Naruto's most memorable battles is the confrontation between Might Guy and Uchiha Madara.
Initially, even with the Seven Gates open, Guy couldn't inflict much damage. However, after opening the Death Gate—the final gate of the Eight Gates—and receiving support from Minato Namikaze and Rock Lee, Might Guy unleashed a kick with enough speed to bend space.

The attack destroyed a large part of Madara's body, leaving him severely injured. After the battle, Madara even directly admitted that Might Guy was the strongest taijutsu user he had ever faced.
Uchiha Sasuke overpowered Madara thanks to his Rinnegan.
In their first encounter, Uchiha Sasuke was quickly defeated and severely wounded by Madara. However, after being granted the Six Paths power by Otsutsuki Hagoromo, Sasuke awakened the Rinnegan and became a completely different opponent.
The Rinnegan allows Sasuke to see Limbo clones – one of Madara's most dangerous abilities. At the same time, his speed and teleportation abilities allow Sasuke to repeatedly outmaneuver his opponents and launch counterattacks.

In the final stages of the battle, Madara was constantly on the defensive against the pressure from Sasuke and Naruto. Although he wasn't directly defeated by them but was betrayed by Black Zetsu, leading to the appearance of Kaguya Otsutsuki, these two ninjas were the ones who pushed Madara closest to his power limits in the entire series.
