Bentley's first electric SUV is adorned with 76 crystals.

The 2028 Bentley Torcal is the first all-electric SUV from the British luxury car manufacturer, using an 800V electrical system, a 113 kWh battery, and having a range of approximately 604 km.

According to MotorTrend, the Torcal is not an electric version of the Bentayga. It is lower and shorter, and introduces a new design language that Bentley plans to apply to its future products.

The most striking detail is at the front of the car, featuring 76 crystals of three different sizes. Since electric vehicles don't require a large grille like internal combustion engine cars, Bentley utilizes this area for decorative purposes.

The crystals are nestled behind a layer of transparent material. When the user unlocks the car, the lighting system creates a reflective effect through the crystals. The Torcal is also the first model to use Bentley's new winged logo, while the four vertical light strips at the front become part of the brand's new identity.

The car has a drag coefficient of 0.279. In addition to the rear luggage compartment, the Torcal also has a front trunk large enough to hold a small carry-on suitcase.

The interior is more technologically advanced.

The cabin still uses familiar Bentley materials such as leather, wood, and metal, but adds a host of electronic features.

At the center of the dashboard is a high-resolution curved screen. Several functions, such as adjusting the air vents or the transparency of the sunroof, are controlled via the touchscreen.

Torcal also features power doors, facial recognition, and a head-up display with augmented reality technology.

The optional sound system includes 28 speakers, positioned in both the seats and headrests, supporting Dolby Atmos with a power output of 1,780 W.

Bentley does not equip the front passenger with a separate screen. The company believes that this feature does not offer sufficient practical value.
