According to Expedia, along with early planning, cost is a major factor influencing travelers' destination choices for their 2026 trips.
Based on new data from Expedia, destinations with hotel room costs under 3.9 million VND (US$150) are suitable for travelers' budgets.
In the US, budget-friendly destinations are often smaller cities or secondary centers where hotel rooms are reasonably priced.

Notably, Ho Chi Minh City is the only representative from Vietnam to make this list. According to Expedia, Ho Chi Minh City has long been a favorite destination thanks to its diverse street food, vibrant nightlife, and affordable costs.
