Starting October 22, 2026, GrabBike and GrabCar rides from 10 PM to 6 AM will have AudioProtect features enabled by default for safety.
The automatic recording feature applies nationwide, ensuring all rides during these hours are documented for user protection.
Users who prefer not to use AudioProtect for night rides are advised to postpone their bookings until they are comfortable with the feature. Read more

According to the latest announcement sent to users via the app, starting October 22, 2026, the AudioProtect and AudioProtect Plus features will be enabled by default for GrabBike/GrabCar rides performed between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM the following morning. This change applies to all provinces and cities with GrabBike/GrabCar services nationwide.
