Interest rates are still high compared to the needs of the economy.
According to Mr. Dao Minh Tu, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Banking Association, interest rates are currently high compared to the needs of the economy. Therefore, commercial banks need to immediately reduce lending interest rates to share the burden with businesses and help them overcome difficulties.
"Banks and businesses have a close symbiotic relationship. Banks supporting businesses are also supporting themselves. When businesses overcome difficulties and become profitable, they will repay the banks the loans," Mr. Tu emphasized.
