Grab Philippines has upgraded its GrabCar Group Ride feature allowing up to three passengers to share one ride.
GrabCar Group Ride now lets up to three passengers share one ride and automatically split the fare. Each rider can save up to 50% compared with booking a solo trip.
The feature allows a host and up to two friends to share a GrabCar with as many as three drop-off points along the route. Each passenger can see their share of the fare upfront so that it is easier to divide travel costs without calculating payments after the trip.
Users can also save regular ride groups. They can also save frequently used pickup and drop-off locations for faster bookings. The feature is designed for commuters traveling in the same direction including friends heading home together or colleagues leaving work.
This is how to book a Group Ride:
- Open the Grab app, tap GrabCar, then select Group Ride.
- Enter your pickup point and drop-off.
- Share the invite link with up to two friends.
- Your friends add their own drop-off points.
- Confirm the booking. The fare is split automatically with each rider saving up to 50 percent.
GrabCar Group Ride is now available in all GrabCar cities nationwide.
